Highly detailed multi-pieced example that is near mint; 17 x 53mm gilt cross with double-sided white enamel and black enamel eagle and swas to obverse; cross is correctly tapered being 2.5m thick at the center and tapering to 2mm at the edges; neck cross is suspended from a beautiful 25mm gold, seamless oakleaf clasp with polished highlights having original large 55mm wide silk-ribbon passing through it; this came with a group of other decorations listed here-see pics; a superb vet example seldom encountered!

Boxed SS-Helfrin Silver Clasp for Female Auxiliaries 1943
The rarest of all SS badges and certainly the least known; a beautiful jeweler-made 55mm multi-piece silver spange with hand-engraved detail that rivals any Third Reich award; bears jewelers marks, 900 silver mark & serial number 122 ; Far rarer than the SS Honor ring which was issued in the thousands-these clasp were at most issued in the hundreds and for less than 2 years! Comes in its original jewelers presentation box; (The original owner of this clasp was the wife of a Waffen-SS arty officer in the Wiking Division whose SS ring was recently sold here) (Ref: Forman's 3rd edition page 226)
