Minty Hilter Youth Dagger-M7/42 with Rare Vinyl Straps A near mint dagger with an un-sharpended bright blade with "RZM" in double circle and "M7/42-1942"; cross grain is good with only in&out runner marks; grip and hilt areas retain 99% of their bright finish; black checkered grip panels are nice and sharp with domed rivets; HJ enamel is perfect and un-cleaned with deep dark patina; near mint scabbard retains +99% of its original high-gloss black enamel paint with a very slight shallow crease 2 inches from the throat; this rare scabbard has black vinyl straps in place of the usual leather and although stiff from age are unbroken! identical snap and rivet assembly as with the usual leather version; a rare cost-cutting version as early as 1942 or perhaps a very late war scabbard matched up to the 42 dated blade; I had one of these in maroon plastic 20 years ago and this is the first I've seen since!
