Army Panzer Officers Visor Cap
Tailor-made Panzer officers field-green wool visor by "Carl Halfar-Berlin"-full maker name and address under the moisture shield; pink piping is thicker around crown than cap band, typical of this maker; black fiver visor is nice with little or no cracking and tight with the cap band; cap appears to have been period made into a more crushable shape with removal of the crown wire and lining around cap band; lining retains the crown oil-cloth panel with moisture shield only. also there is a period addition under the original sweat band of a 2nd leather band-very unusual-added for comfort or sizing? no mothing to field green wool with minor tracking to piping in back up under flopping crown-not noticeable in wear. chin cord, side buttons and insignia are all of the same age; a nice floppy-crusher look with a sharp peak.
